Good news for students that might need a little extra help with classes! In the east lounge with the comfortable chairs and open space on the El Dorado campus on the first floor of the 1300 building, there will be time provided for students to receive that extra help they might need.

"Everyone has that one class that they struggle in and now there's a place to come and get help," Tina Krau said. "This is another great resource for students."

Monday through Thursday from 2 p.m.-4 p.m., the lounge will be open for an opportunity for someone to advance in their studies.

The idea of having a study/tutoring room came about because it was needed.

Tutoring is available in the lounge where it can be a more comfortable environment for students to focus on school work.

Students, student mentors and staff will be there to assist students. Learning from peers can make all the difference on how to interpret information.

"Whatever we can do to ensure students success, we'll do it!" Krau stated.

The idea is fresh out the box so progression with the time provided will bloom into something more.

If anyone is interested in helping contact Tina Krau through pipeline at KKrau@butlercc.edu.

It's great that students now have a place to come for help with their classes. Every school should have this.
