Hutchinson sophomore, Caleb Walker and the Grizzlies got off to a great start in Tonkawa, Okla. with a 34-27 lead at halftime. They got a great shooting performance from Kyle Sloan, Kansas City freshman, who had three threes in the first half and really gave the Grizzlies a boost into halftime.
The second half started just as the first half ended with Butler shootÂing lights out from the field. They extended their lead form seven at halftime to 13 halfway through the second half. They slowed down as the game came to a close only winÂning by six, 68-62.
Walker led Butler with 21 points followed by Anchorage freshman, Anthony Cousin with 16 and Sloan had 10 of his own.
Head Coach Mike Bargen's thoughts after the game were, "Kyle Loan did a great job of giving us a lift and Andre Ingram also came in for Troy Pierce when he was in foul trouble and did great. We have to be 11 or 12 deep every game."
Butler moved to 8-2 following this game.
