There are many reasons for a student to have an account in the library.
Signing up for an account at the library has many benefits and is a simple process. To get an account, there are only two things needed: a student ID card and a few minutes of time to fill out a short information form.
Once users are in the library's computer, a world of possibilities opens up. Library patrons will be able to checkout laptops for use in the library, books, movies, CDs, audio books and much more. The library also has a Wii gaming system for use in the library.
With the library's new catalog, students can now log in if they have a library account. To log in, users will need to input their student ID number and the default password, USERPASS. After logging in for the first time, users can create a new password.
Logging into the catalog will greatly increase the user's experience. Library patrons will be able to setup email notices for items checked out and items overdue. Users who log in will be able to renew their checkouts without having to call or go into the library. While searching in the catalog, users will be able to create lists and view saved searches. Now, users who log in will even be able to search the library's online databases right inside of the catalog with no need to visit several different websites.
In the end, the library has many benefits for users. Where else can people checkout the newest books and DVDs for free? Stop in today to speak with a librarian about what the library has to offer.
