The Grizzlies track team sized up against strong competition in Lincoln, NE on Jan. 27 for the Adidas Indoor Classic.
Despite only taking a select few runners as a result of the meet being held indoors, the results were impressive for both the men and women.
The ladies 4 x 400 relay placed 8th but set a school record with a time of 4:02.03.
Seven of the eight ladies running ran career records while eight of the 12 men who competed also had career bests.
Justin Oliver, Pennsauken, NJ freshman placed fourth at the meet in high jump with a height of 6'9 the second best mark in school history.
Jay Lindal, Clearwater sophomore placed fifth in the 1000m with a time of 2;32.33.
Overall the 23 athletes who competed put up 13 national qualifier marks.
Coach Kirk Hunter was happy overall with the teams success, "We showed again that we are a very talented group of athletes," Hunter said. "If we take care of business off the track, like on, we have a very bright future ahead of us."
