The Grizzlies lost the first game 20-30 and the second 27-30.
"We needed to make adjustments the first match and we did make some of those adjustments in the second match but we let it get away from us," said Younger.
Butler got it in gear for the third and fourth games winning 30-27 and 30-18 setting up yet another five game match against a tough team and Butler couldn't pull out the deciding match losing 13-15.
Butler now drops to 3-3 overall and 0-2 in conference and district play.
Now the road looks tough for the Grizzlies as this next week holds two matchups against nationally ranked teams including Cowley who is currently ranked first in the country.
With the tough schedule coming up the young Grizzlies team has to grow up fast as they go through what could bluntly be put as trial by fire.
But Younger sees improvement as the team continues to mature.
"We're going through growing pains right now," said Younger.
