Lately El Dorado has played host to some celebreties. Most recently "To Kill a Mockingbird."
In keeping with this rhythm, a student from Butler was selected to be on the boisterous tv show Jerry Springer.
Yes, Butler's own Robert Kreh, Newton sophomore, was selected to be a participant in this popular television show.
Kreh, his fiance, sister and the father of her child, were all going to be in the show.
However, things didn't really work out.
"Well, the first time we were supposed to go they had troubles with the travel arrangements. The second time it was the same story, because of March Madness and spring break," said Kreh.
The show was going to give them a free trip to Chicago, plane tickets and hotels, so all expenses were paid for.
To be even asked on the show was a surprise to Kreh.
"My sister called them as a joke, and they offered to give us the free trip," said Kreh.
Kreh learned many things about Jerry Springer.
"Jerry Springer is completely fake. They called us everyday for a week, and created a fake sotry and asked alot of personal questions which was a little uncomfortable. I also learned never to trust a TV executive when they guarantee you a trip," said Kreh.
Kreh was disappointed at the outcome of the show.
"It's to bad he didn't get his 15 minutes of fame on the number one white trash TV show," said Sandy Foster, Wellington freshman.
