Softball wins two of the last nine away from home

The Lady Grizzly softball team had a challenging weekend at the Wichita Jayhawk Challenge April 3rd and 4th, but there were some positive things that came from it. They lost to Coffeyville 10-9, then again to Neosho 13-8 but were able to pull out a win against Labette with a score of 6-5. They then went on to lose against Cowley 2-1 and Independence 3-2.

They followed up that tournament on April 7 against Dodge City where they lost the first game 8-5 but bounced back and delivered a 5-1 win in the second contest.

The next day they played Seminole where they didn't have the success they were hoping for. They lost the first game 9-1 and the second game 6-0.

The scores of Wednesdays doubleheader against Seward county were unavailble at time of press Their next game will be Saturday, against Independence at Dodge City. The ladies next home action comes on April 20th with a doubleheader against Hutchinson starting at 2p.m. at East Park.
