Women squeak past Allen, Men thrash Tabor JV

It was a successful evening for the Grizzly basketball teams on Mon­day, Nov. 30 as both squads got victories. In the opener, the Grizzly women's team benefited from bal­anced scoring to defeat a much im­proved Allen County team, 71-67. Women win, Men lose in Jayhawk conference openers

The Grizzly women and men trav­eled to Dodge City on Wednesday to play the Conquistadors. The women tipped off first with a record of 6-6 going into the game and were heav­ily favored by many. Butler wins at Oklahoma-Tonkawa

Hutchinson sophomore, Caleb Walker and the Grizzlies got off to a great start in Tonkawa, Okla. with a 34-27 lead at halftime. Men, Women fall to Neosho second time around

In basketball, it is always tough to beat a team twice in the same sea­son. On Nov. 21, the Grizzly basketball teams fell to Neosho, 73-69 for the women's game and 85-79 for the men. Both teams had defeated the Tigers just 11 days earlier in Cha­nute. The women's game started with many Grizzlies in foul trouble send­ing starters Jessica Egwuagu, Aus­tin, TX freshman, and Abby Fawc­ett, Wichita freshman, to the bench very early in the game.… Post the First Comment

Football is just a sport to some people but to Scott Smith it's more than that, it's a way of life. Smith is a defensive end for the Butler Griz­zlies. Grizzly Women's Maul Lions

The Grizzly Women's took on the Brown Mackie Lions on November 24 where they came away with a five point win. The final score was 77 to 72 with Alysia Hart, Goddard, sophomore leading the team with 22 point.
