Student basketball tickets for the upcoming seasons will not be any cheaper because of disinterest in a student fee added to the cost of attendance.

The results of the Associated Student Government Student Poll showed a majority of UA students would not be willing to pay an athletic fee to lower student basketball ticket prices.

The UA Student Poll results are in, and students showed overwhelming support for a fall break, sustainability and wireless Internet on campus.

In the poll, 67 percent of students said that Fall Break is one thing that would improve the campus the most, and almost 55 percent said wireless internet would also improve campus.

The Arkansas economy is doing much better than the national average, the director for the Center for Business & Economic Research said.

"Arkansas has fared much better than the nation," Katherine Deck, UA director, said. "It has very moderate employment growth, not as great as the last two years, but so far, we have held up better than the rest of the country.

About 30 students will wake up with a new set of roommates and surroundings in the spring.



Maintenance workers discovered a leak in the heating pipe in Headlee Hall, which will require extensive work and require heat in the building to be shut down, according to a letter distributed to Headlee residents on Friday. The letter does not state whether or not the gas leak may be a safety concern to students living in Headlee right now.

Student Senate passed a revised version of the organizational allotments bill Monday, Nov. 24 at a special emergency meeting. The allotments apply to the spring semester.

Jeff Riles, president of the Student Government Association, called for the emergency meeting after Senate failed to pass the allotments Tuesday, Nov. 18.
